Sheriff Norman Endorses County Commissioner Kevin S. Gordon for Re-election in 2024

To the Voting Citizens of Cleveland County,

Let me start by saying that I have known Kevin Gordon for a number of years and have found him to be a pillar of our community. He is a lifelong resident and a valued citizen of the county. Kevin has a bachelor's degree in fire science and a master's degree in public administration.

Kevin had a distinguished career with Charlotte Fire Department, rising to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief. During his 30 years of creditable service, he assumed many roles within the organization. Kevin also has 39 years of service with the Waco Community Volunteer Fire Department, with 26 years of that service being as the Fire Chief, directly giving back to the Cleveland County citizens within his community, which also meant quality time away from his family. Personally viewing public service as his life's calling. Kevin has served on numerous boards from local to state level throughout his life and career, that are too many to name.

Being newly elected as a Cleveland County Commissioner in 2020, not only did Kevin see the need to assist all First Responders. but he also saw the desperate needs of the Sheriff's Office and has, when possible, worked to make us a first-class Sheriff's Office, second to none, by providing the needed resources for us to excel. Kevin has been accessible in person or by cell phone while serving as Chairman of our County Commission.

I ask the voting citizens of Cleveland County to join me in the 2024 election year to re-elect Kevin Gordon to Cleveland County Commission to lead, guide, and direct Cleveland County as we move forward. He has a proven track record in all facets of County Government and has distinguished himself as a proven leader.

Thank you for your time and attention at this matter. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need further information.

- Sheriff Alan Norman
